Feedback and Complaints
If you have a concern about a service provided by the Office of the Public Guardian, you can talk with a relevant staff member or request to speak to the Public Guardian (the manager of our office).
You can also make a complaint or provide feedback by downloading and completing this complaints form. This form can also be used to request a review of a guardian’s decision.
You can return your completed form, or send details of your concerns to:
Email: opgfeedback@publicguardian.tas.gov.au
Post: The Public Guardian, GPO Box 825, HOBART TAS 7000 (state-wide)
Phone: 1800 955 772 (state-wide, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm)
You can find out more about how we handle feedback and complaints, and respond to requests for a review of a guardian’s decision in our Feedback and Complaints Policy and Fact Sheet – Feedback and Complaints.
Can I get support to raise my concerns?
If you need someone to help you speak to your guardian or the Office of the Public Guardian, you may want to ask a friend or family member to help you. You can also ask an independent advocate to help you from Advocacy Tasmania or Speak Out Advocacy
You can also ask a member of our staff to assist you or provide your feedback by phone or to fill out the form.
