The Public Guardian

The Office of the Public Guardian can become involved as a guardian only if:

• The Public Guardian is appointed a guardian under an order made by the Guardianship and Administration Board; or
• A person appoints them as their guardian under an Instrument appointing an Enduring Guardian.

The Office of Public Guardian also has a limited advocacy role for all people with decision making disabilities in Tasmania.
