The Guardian’s job and what to expect
Sometimes people need someone to make a
decision for them.
We call this substitute decision-making.
The Guardian is a substitute decision maker.
Guardians will:
- only make decisions about your NDIS supports if
they have the right to - help you get support to make your own
decisions whenever they can - only make decisions for you when you cannot
get support to make decisions or;- the decision is too hard
- say when it is ok to share information about you to other people
- Make sure you get help to make decisions about support coordination.
