Need urgent help?

  • If you or a family member has a guardianship order and need urgent help, please phone emergency services on 000 for the police or ambulance, or attend the emergency department at the local hospital.
  • For emergency housing, phone Housing Connect on 1800 800 588. For crisis support, including concerns about suicide, contact Lifeline on 131 114.

You have the right to tell us about issues or concerns you have about the OPG and to feel heard.

The Tribunal and Guardianship Orders

If you are unhappy about a guardianship order, think it should be changed or you no longer need one, you can ask the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal to review it by making an application. Further information about the application process can be found on the following links:

Please note that the Tribunal can only review the guardianship order and do not have a role in reviewing a guardian’s decisions.
